Shakespeare Week

In 2012, The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust commissioned Fido to prepare, plan and manage a public affairs and PR programme to celebrate the work of the world’s most celebrated storyteller and his legacy.

In 2014, the UK’s first ever Shakespeare Week came to life; a campaign to take children on a learning adventure with Shakespeare, starting in the classroom.

Shakespeare Week has so far engaged more than half a million primary school children in 3,000 schools. The campaign attracted attention across the media spectrum, from BBC Breakfast, BBC 6 Music to the Telegraph, Mirror, Express, and much more. Shakespeare Week sparked a quotation frenzy on Twitter and attracted thousands of visits to the website. It has also been supported by more than 150 national and regional arts and heritage organisations and BBC Learning has commissioned several short films to coincide with the campaign.

Shakespeare Week 2015 takes place 16th-22nd March.
